    Hi, just thought i’d let you know, I made a leopard theme for Summerboard that you can download, compltete with reflective dock and semi-transparent menu bar (love it or hate it). Check it out at http://ipod.nsteffen.com

    Every time i try to install the theme’s i get the error message:

    Package download failed: can’t find host!

    Are there any updates going on?

    [Perhaps - though I have no technical knowledge on the packages, their hosting, how to create them, or why Litho is so darn cool! I just did screen caps. Sorry I can't be more help!]

    Thanks a bunch, exactly what i was looking for I am a huge fan of the Litho, but I am curious how you substituted out the IE icon

    Hey!
    Will there be an update of the screenshots of the themes?
    There’s a lot added and it’s so hard to choose!
    Had to install and uninstall every time just like reaganreagan hehe.
    I’m actually looking for the theme wherein it looks like Icarus but with shelves
    for the icons which looks so cool!
    Hope you could post new images.

    i am a new iphone user.of version 1.1.1. i love the themes .they are really beautiful. but when i try to install the summerboard theme from the installer nothing is coming out .please can someone help me

    Aside from installing the tweak, I got nothin’. As note in the post (which has been updated since this comment,) I’ve a number of themes which for whatever reason don’t display correctly on my iPhone. Sorry! — JELyon

    I’ve tried to find Polaroid and Paxman through the installer app sources but can’t find it.

    I think I installed the community sources (or maybe I didn’t?). As far as I know, Paxman is available via the regular repositories. I’ve been no help whatsoever. Sorry! — JELyon

    1st of all, THANKS for posting those… great time saver !!! I just have one question: on my 1.1.4 ifun, the themes do NOT theme all of the icon, even the stock ones :-((

    didi I miss something, is there a fix for it ?

    I’ve had some that didn’t work. There’s a patch for SummerBoard, under Tweaks for 1.1.4 I think. But when I installed the corresponding tweak for 1.1.3, it still didn’t fix the issue for all themes. Sorry! — JELyon

    Can someone please list the themes which work on 1.1.4. That would be so helpful a lot them look really cool, but half of them dont work with 1.1.4. I would downgrade but I don’t feel like it. Also any ideas on an install to get the email and youtube working on 1.1.4. Thanks a million, I really appreciate everyone’s work on all forums. So helpful to a clutz like myself.

    Hi I have just bought a 16g iphone with 1.1.3 firm ware. I have managed to jailbreak my phone thanx to ziphone. I am new to installing and updating sources and packages to my phone. I am having some trouble installing summerboard themes on my phone, i have installed the blue neon summerboard theme but i do not get no icon appear on my screen, am i missing something? Please help and advise.

    I would recommend installing the SummerBoard tweak for 1.1.3 (under Tweaks 1.1.3), which is supposed to correct the issues where some themes don’t display. Though I’ve found that it still doesn’t work for all themes. Other than that…I got nothin’ — JELyon

    If the 1.1.3 tweak doesn’t do it and you know how to use a terminal, try linking the files in /var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes to the files in var/root/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes. Alternatively, move the files in the /var/root/… directory to the /var/mobile/… directory. In earlier versions of the firmware the themes were stored in /var/root/…. Now, they’re in /var/mobile/… but some of them haven’t caught up to that and are installed in the old directory.

    I noticed on my phone that if I wanted to use the Tango theme, I had to click on “restart springboard” inside Summerboard Prefs. That might work for you as well, and it might even work for the other themes.

    This is great. THank you!! but one question tho, if you go into Finder, and go to SummerBoard and theme, you can find themes you downloaded. and sometimes there are icons or wallpapers but are not being used. Does anyone know how to make them work? For example, there are 3 different types of wallpaper, but only one of them is used. How can I change wallpaper? and also I have web app (facebook), and in my theme icon, there is icon for facebook, but it is not being applied, Does anyone know how to make it work? thanks

    Would also be good to have a centrepoint to upload and download themes, or cooler still some kind of online drag and drop build your own theme site. Just thinking out loud here.

    I’m sorry, I don’t. I’m at 1.1.3, and I haven’t been brave enough to update to 1.1.4. At the risk of sounding like a snarky tech support person (hey, I used to be a snarky tech support person!), you might consider updating to 1.1.4 - however it’s best to do that. If there are other (better) options, maybe someone can suggest one? — JELyon

    I understand. My intent was to suggest that it could be that the 1.1.1 version of Summerboard is having issues with the themes that the 1.1.4 version of Summerboard might not. — JEL

    Wow! This is great!

    I had summerboard on my iPod touch, then I had to re-install it, as I messed up my whole ipod from hacking it too much

    This is a great page, as when I had to install Summerboard again, I forgot all the theme names I had before! Amazing page!!!

    I just jailbroke… downloaded the installer and launcher and I keep downloading themes but they don’t appear anywhere… how do I activate them one I’ve downloaded them or where do they hide?? Sorry !!!

    I’m not really an export - I’ve just been posting screenshots. I’d make sure you’ve installed the SummerBoard app. Other than that, I’m at a loss too. Sorry! - jel

    My favorite is Litho.
    and I have the iPod Touch 1.1.4 and it doesn’t appear in the SMB list.
    Some of them, in fact, don’t appear. I think they might not be compatible with them, but wouldn’t they update them by now?

    I can install them, but not use them.

    Do you know why they don’t show up?

    I’m sorry, but I don’t. I know some of the other themes didn’t show up when I installed, but I decided I didn’t feel like taking the time to do the troubleshooting required. - jel

    Litho SOLUTION for 1.1.4 firmware:
    1. Install Litho theme
    2. Access from SSH or SFTP to your iPhone/iPod Touch, now move the folder Litho
    /private/var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/Litho

    to

    /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/Litho

    That’s all. Run summerboard and you will see it on your summerboard themes list.
