Charles Mingus – Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus
This is my record; just took it out of the shrink wrap today. It’s been waiting patiently. Oh, so patiently. I don’t know why I came so late to Mingus. The man’s a genius. Love this recording.

Henry Mancini – Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Another of my folks’ records. It saw a lot of play as well. I heard this was one of Dad’s favorite movies.

Joe Henderson – You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To
One of Mom’s records; apparently a Christmas gift to herself, December 17th, 1962. It’s seem substantially more play than the three records previous records of my dad’s.

Beach Boys – Surfin’ USA
My mom purchased this for my dad for his birthday, January 11th, 1964. I’m playing it, 56 years later.

The Ventures – Walk Don’t Run
Another one that I reckon was dad’s. Like “Whipped Cream,” I doubt this one’s seen a turntable since last millenium.
